Private Pay Behavior Consultation

We understand that a parent’s child may not qualify for ABA services due to strict insurance standards that determine if medical necessity is justified to pay for ABA services.

If your child does not qualify for ABA services, often parents can feel lost or helpless in helping their child improve their behaviors so they can successfully function in life.

Examples of problem behaviors may be:

  • not following instructions,

  • not knowing how to appropriately communicate,

  • lack of knowledge of teaching non-verbal children how to communicate through PECS or AAC device,

  • how to reduce tantrums and/or aggression,

  • obtaining appropriate social skills, etc.

Therefore, we offer private pay Behavior Consultation to those families and children in need. Private behavioral consultants equip parents to learn and implement behavior strategies and interventions to use at home to help improve their child’s behaviors.

Behavior Consultation Package is $500.00.

Behavior consultation includes the following:

Initial Assessment:

A Behavior Consultant or Board-Certified Behavior Analyst will review medical records, meet with caregivers and your child to conduct an in-person evaluation (typically lasts 1.5 hours). Problematic or behaviors of concerns, along with direct observation of the child will be included in the evaluation. Professionals and caregivers will discuss specific maladaptive behaviors to target for reduction and discuss any skills that need to be taught to replace maladaptive behaviors in a socially acceptable manner.

Behavioral assessments will be completed that aids in identifying functions of behavior (why your child displays this behavior) and also to help determine the interventions to modify undesirable behaviors to desirable behaviors.

Based on results of client observation, parent reporting, and results of assessments, a comprehensive behavior treatment plan is written, that provides step-by-step interventions for each behavior to reduce. This also includes an alternative, socially acceptable way to replace social stigmatized behaviors that presents as off-putting to others to help your child thrive at home, school or in public.

Caregiver Training Services:

Caregiver training is conducted via telehealth. A professional will discuss your child’s behavioral evaluation. The Caregiver Training session will also be used to discuss the behavior treatment plan that has been customized to your child's needs.

Topics to be covered in Caregiver Training Session will cover education on what ABA therapy entails. The concepts and principles used to help modify behaviors using positive reinforcement and extinction procedures.

Education will be provided as to the function of behaviors and corrective interventions used. It also trains the caregiver on how to implement interventions for behavior reduction, while increasing desirable behaviors.

Trainings will include having the parent model interventions with your child, while our professional helps to train and guide you throughout the process.

Caregiver Training Session is $110 per hour (a minimum of 3 sessions is recommended)
Note: Additional caregiver training sessions may be needed, as behavior changes (is not stagnant) and more customization of interventions are required as each child’s behaviors are unique.

We address any problems with the interventions or any behavioral changes that may

require a custom modification to the intervention itself because we recognize all children are different and unique.
